At Detroit Electric Bike Company, we stand behind the quality of our electric bikes and accessories. Your satisfaction is important to us. Please review our return policy below.
1. Electric Bike Returns
Eligibility:
Electric bikes may be returned within 7 days of purchase for an exchange subject to the conditions below.
Conditions for Return/Exchange:
- Bike must be in new condition
- Less than 10 miles ridden
- No damage, excessive wear, or modifications, to ANY part
- Original packaging, manuals, keys, charger, and accessories included
- Original proof of purchase required
- Exchange is only given if e-bike is broken down, totally inoperable
Non-Returnable Items:
- Clearance or Demo sale bikes
- Custom builds or Demo sale bikes
- Original proof of purchase required
- Bikes that have been modified after purchase
2. Accessories & Parts
- No accessories or parts can be returned or exchange
Non-returnable items include:
- Helmets (for safety reasons)
- Apparel that has been worn
- Installed parts or electrical components
3. Defective or Damaged Products
If your bike or accessory arrives defective or becomes defective due to manufacturer issues:
- Please contact us within 7 days of receiving the product
- Manufacturer warranties apply to most electric bikes and components
- We will assist you with warranty claims and repairs
Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper storage, or unauthorized repairs is not covered under this policy.
4. Refund Process
- Refunds are issued to the original form of payment
- Processing may take 5–10 business days after inspection and approval
- Financing fees (if applicable) are non-refundable
5. Test Rides
We encourage all customers to take a test ride before purchasing. This helps ensure you select the right bike and minimizes the need for returns.
